New Home for Cats
I will be
moving with my cats and dogs soon. What should I do to make them accept
their new home?
Take as
many of their toys, litter boxes, food dishes, blankets, etc. with you
to help them recognize their new home. Dogs adapt faster than cats, but
give all your pets as much personal attention as possible to let them
know everything is OK. Cats should be kept indoors, not even allowed
brief supervised periods outside, until they clearly accept their new
home, which could take several weeks. Confused pets often run away if
given the chance.
